The Ruger LCP Max is a new and improved version of the popular Ruger LCP. The LCP Max is a micro-compact platformed, semi-automatic pistol chambered in .380 ACP and is designed for concealed carry and personal defense. It has a capacity of 10 rounds in the magazine, a significant increase from previous LCP models.

Frame & Grip Features

Ruger has also included a finger extension base plate for the magazine that is easy to install. With the finger extension, users are able to get a better grip on this pistol.

Sights

One of the most notable features of the Ruger LCP Max is its improved sights. The gun has a standard drift-adjustable rear sight with a generous U-notch and a Tritium front sight that makes acquiring and maintaining a sight picture easy, even in low-light conditions.

Trigger & Safety Controls

The Ruger LCP Max has an improved trigger pull over the LCP model. The LCP Max has a single-strike, double-action-only trigger meaning the only job the trigger has to do is release the internal hammer so that it can strike the firing pin. This makes it relatively easy to cleanly pull the trigger. 

The handgun has no external safety controls but does have a trigger safety and Ruger’s Secure-Action internal safety mechanisms ensure that the pistol will not fire unless the trigger safety is disengaged.

Conclusion

The Ruger LCP Max is a well-designed, reliable handgun. Micro-compacts are inherently easy to conceal, but can also be difficult to get a good grip on, even with average-sized hands. As with all handguns, make sure you like how it feels when you hold it before you buy it.
